From his melodious pop principle, Roland Hartwell Jr.(Vocals, Sampling, Programming, Guitars, Bass and Strings) has become involved in a new project with partner Joe Davidson (Vocals, Sampling and Programming). It’s quite amazing to hear the juxtaposition of his band Cynic Guru to that of this latest musical endeavor – Skanky Ranky Doo. Here you’ll find strong guitar riffs with a heavy emphasis on groove. To compare the sound to another artist, I would say Rage Against the Machine or something in the vein of Limp Bizkit.
